Data sheet
A Dutch connection in the meter cupboard can be either 1-phase or 3-phase. The 1-phase connection is still common in homes built before 1990, while a 3-phase connection is always chosen for new-build homes. Many people also choose to adapt their connection to a 3-phase connection. That is why there are also two variations for inverters: the 1-phase and the 3-phase inverter. The 1-phase variant is often cheaper, but these have limitations in their capacity up to approximately 5000-6000 WP. One 3-phase inverter is cheaper than opting for two 1-phase inverters. If you want more power, it is necessary to use a 3-phase inverter. Feel free to contact us if you need help choosing the right type of inverter.
What different types of 3-phase inverters are there?n
There are different types of 3-phase inverters available. This term usually refers to a string inverter. A string inverter is most commonly used, especially to save costs, and is used to connect solar panels in series. In a microinverter, on the other hand, each panel has its own inverter. An advantage of this system is that the yield is increased, because the panels are not dependent on each other for the yield. A power optimizer is a kind of intermediate solution for the microinverter and string inverter. Each panel is then equipped with its own optimizer. This increases the yield of the solar panels, because the panels produce electricity in parallel instead of in series.
